Head of Compliance – Lead Regulatory Excellence at AKJ

We are now seeking a highly skilled and strategic Head of Compliance to join our team in Oslo. In this role, you will take ownership of compliance oversight, ensuring that AK Jensen Norway AS meets all regulatory requirements while aligning with the broader group's compliance framework.

About the Role

As Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for leading and strengthening our compliance function, ensuring that our operations align with regulatory expectations and best practices. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the registered compliance officer for AK Jensen Norway AS with Finanstilsynet, overseeing all relevant compliance matters.
• Leading the development, implementation, and execution of the firm’s financial crime framework in collaboration with the Group Chief Compliance Officer.
• Supporting the compliance functions of AKJ’s sister companies, AK Jensen Limited and AK Jensen Investment Management Limited.
• Ensuring all compliance aspects relevant to the firm are effectively implemented and followed.
• Advising internal teams on regulatory changes, assisting in drafting procedures and policies to maintain compliance.
• Conducting regular monitoring and assessments of internal systems and controls, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining compliance registers and key records as required by statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Providing compliance-related support and guidance as required by senior management and the broader AKJ group.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in compliance within financial services, preferably within asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including Norwegian financial regulations and Finanstilsynet requirements.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance regulatory compliance with business objectives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of driving compliance initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
