The Technology Development Department is part of Technology and Transformation. We have a highly-skilled, interdisciplinary work environment and are responsible for all of Statnett's technical solutions and standards for network installations. Our main deliveries include technology development, introduction of new technology, technology standardization, and technical responsibility in procurement and supplier development.
We are looking for a new colleague to join our technical team in the field of power transformers, reactors, and neutral point reactors.
Statnett focuses on effective routines and processes for execution (from procurement to warranty inspection), and increased digitalization will contribute to this. We therefore emphasize digital skills and interest in information models, sensor data, and performance calculations, among others.
Statnett is active in international standardization work and national and international forums in the field. You will participate in such work and help develop professional competence in a strong technical environment.
We have installations throughout Norway, and the workplace for the position will be at one of Statnett's offices in Oslo, Trondheim, Sandnes, Sunndalsøra, or Alta.
Responsibilities
Statnett's technical responsibility in power transformers, reactors, and neutral point reactors, including technical solutions and standards
Technical responsibility for technology strategies, technology development, introduction of new technology, standardization, and implementation within Statnett in the field
Further develop technical standards and specifications in the field
Participate in supplier qualification and development of procurement/contract strategies
Engage in internal, national, and international professional networks, research collaborations, and standardization bodies
Drive professional development and knowledge transfer within Statnett
Qualifications
Preferably higher education in electrical power engineering; extensive relevant experience can compensate for the education requirement
Solid experience and professional strength in large power transformers, reactors, and neutral point reactors. System voltage up to 420 kV and 1000 MVA
Desirable to have experience in power engineering/supplier or from the production of power transformers
Desirable to have experience in procurement and operation of power transformers, reactors, and neutral point reactors
The person employed must be able to undergo security clearance and authorization in accordance with the provisions of the Security Act/Sikkerhetsloven
