As Senior Mechanical Engineer you work closely with the other R&D disciplines, project managers and other project stakeholders. Main responsibilities are to participate in development projects and/or take discipline-lead responsibility to coordinate both internal and external participants within projects.
Roles and responsibilities:
In projects
- Responsible for mechanical design of modules or complete systems
- Take discipline lead role and work in close collaboration with project managers, system architects and other project members
- Create product and project specifications with focus on existing system architecture
- Ensure protection of TOMRA intellectual property rights
- Contribute to assembly of pilot and test series
In Mechanical Design Line function
- Responsible for implementing improvements on products in production
- Participate in cross discipline task forces to solve specific market requests
- Push for continuous improvement and best practcies within R&D
- Responsible for defined areas of expertise within the Mechanical Design Department
- Propose improvements to products and services
- Propose research activities/pre-projects relevant for reverse vending technology products and services
- Keep up-to-date on relevant technologies and technology trends
Candidate profile:
- BS/MS in mechanics or mechanical engineering
- Experience from industrial design and development
- Experience from cross-disciplinary development projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Norwegian, written and oral
- It is expected to take initiative to discussions, internal/external courses building long- term competence or other activities building knowledge for the department
